 I Smile As I Kill
« Thread Started on Mar 26, 2007, 7:19pm »

The sun was just rising. The shadows were mostly shading the large mansion. He peered at the big house and his nostrils flared. The smell of a large amount of dogs reached him. But the trees looked quite inviting, good to mingle under until noon when he became hungry again after the day-old speggetii he had this morning. He yawned and stretched, before trotting towards one weary looking willow whose limbs only reached half-way down the trunk as it twisted oddly. He lay down next to it, the light shade cast over him protecting him from the first rays of the day.

He was a large dog, and oddly beautiful as well. He was expertly adapted for his living, alone. Many dogs, espically those small ones, couldn't make it as well as he had. The "Rough" collie blood in him caused his hair to be long for winter. Collies are debated the dog that are most related to wolves. It is because they've been trained for ability and work rather than beauty, though the somehow manage that point as well. And his German Shepherd lines made for a whole other story. Being as they're a GSD, those untrained and left to run wild could become highly aggresive. And indeed he was. Because of that he could be hair-trigger nasty and most were wary. But Felix didn't think he could be bothered here. It was so nice to lie in the sun and relax, that it seemed almost absurd to him that anyone would want to cause trouble this fine morning.

Having caught the scent of a mystery dog, Tilani's hackles went automatically up, and a steady growl bristled inside her chest. Bypassing the members without so much as a backwards glance, she quickly loped across the dying field of grass before pausing on her side of the gate. On the other side was a large dog, who seemed to have collie blood in him. He seemed to have a peaceful state of mind, and had no idea that this was Helvetti territory. Alright, so it was technically outside her territory, but who in their right minds would choose to rest right outside the most feared dog site?

Who are you? State your name and your purpose here. Tilani asked, surprisingly calm despite the mass numbers of idiotic dogs who had come calling on her, expect for her to save them. As always, Tilani's bitter response was that she did not have time for such a useless lot of dogs, and would proceed to either let her dogs at them, and send them off with multiple gash wounds. Probably the former, however.

The large, slightly elegant-looking femmora met his gaze firmly through the gate, mentally appraising him up and down. Seems healthy, even if he was alittle on the bony side. But most strays were. And she assumed he was a stray, judging by the battle-worn look on his face, and the fact that his pelt was filthy.

Ah, he liked this. This peace was just fine. He dug his claws into the dirt and lifted them repeatedly in a relaxing motion. However, the sounds of paw steps alerted him he was not to have this fine moment to himself much longer. He looked at her lazily, his cold eyes meeting hers. She was so bossy. Asking questions in a demanding way as if he was expected to obey and say "Yes M'lady" and "No, M'lady". But Felix didn't bow before anyone, and he doubted he ever would. He'd lost his caring for his own life, longing for the past and easily irritated when his lonesome road was met by another dog who dared break his dreaming.

"They call me None-Of-Your-Business and I am perfectly justified to lay my body where I will outside of territories."

His voice was rough and low, and his tone was lofty and with lack of caring. But his eyes crackled with an unseen and unspoken threat behind his words. Felix had long ago lost all caring for his physical movements and body. He was lean, powerful, and was swift. On those rare occasions he fell, he was back on his feet before the opponent could make another move. The unique attack-style he'd gained from the Collie gave him an advantage of confusion in his tactics. He was not to be bullied into obedience or to be caught off guard for a quick death. His goal in a fight was minimum damage to himself and maximum impact with each blow to the enemy. His unselfish-caring attitude made him a difficult fighter to manage. If he thought he was to die, he would surely fight all the harder to try and take the other down with him.

He looked her up and down from his resting spot. A mutt, most definitely. She had no specific bloodline or cross of two. He saw evidence from several breeds, the foremost he recognized being German Shepherd, which he himself carried. This female was obviously blinded by the sin of pride and the foolishness of arrogance. She assumed that by being the leader of whatever backwater dump she ran she could order anyone around. But she would never reckon on Felix, who would rather leave his corpse to stink the place up that be forced to submit to any beast, human or fellow canine.

Slowly, he rose to his paws, however, his muscles tense. He was perfectly prepared for her being so irrational and short-tempered as to attack him and get herself into a grapple with a large, masculine boy like him. There was no doubt in his mind he could maul that pretty face. After a pause, he added,

"However, you may call me Felix if you want."

Ah, he was peaceable indeed, not caring to fight but ready to crush anyone if he had to with his thick ruff about his neck, a trademark of a collie that made it difficult to get a killing bite on the neck as there is only one small point where no fur is blocked. As well, it is troublesome to keep a bite too long, for the long fur can be suffocating. And most certainly he didn't want to hurt a female. He had someone gained a larger respect for them than males, usually not as thick-skulled. There were always exceptions, and he certainly hoped she wasn't.

Frosty eyes narrowed at the dog's snapish response. Apparently someone really had it in for her by repeatedly sending her pompous, simple-minded dogs. Heh. Well, "Felix", why would I call you that if you just told me your real name was None-Of-Your-Business? She snipped immediately, unable to refrain from saying that. Her bad attitude was definately not getting better, it seemed to be doing quite the opposite as a matter of fact.

So, None-Of-Your-Business, if you don't want to hang around with a group of idiotic dogs, then why would come to rest right outside the Helvetti territory? If you wish to hang around with weaker dogs, I suggest you track down the Taivas. Tilani purposely stressed what she called him, using sarcasm to its fullest ability. Which was alot considering. She rolled her eyes, already bored with this dog. Maybe, after she kicked this pompous ass off her land, she would schedule a fight as to entertain herself, and get rid of one or two dogs.

And do us all a favor, including you as well, if you happen to stumble upon Mestari, kill him and make it painful. She told him flatly, hiding her anger remarkably well, considering how agitated she was at this given moment. The only feeling that could be seen was found in her glistening silver eyes which were aflame with hatred.

A stumbling human, obviously coming from the pub while holding a food scrap in one hand and a beer hedge in the other, lumbered toward a sleeping female who popped one eye open curiously. It hadn’t been too long since Val had eaten and she wasn’t particularly hungry; although, who could pass up such an easy meal. The ruff of her pelt shaken, the mixed-color Akita clenched her jaws together tightly before trotting into the footsteps of the other. His eyes were glazed, mumbling speech drifting from his mouth along with a dribbled line of spit that disgusted even Valentine, and rolling eyes was the only response that he got out of her. Even when she gripped her teeth around the salty meat stack, the wasted man continued on his path, and simply closed his hand to where his dinner meal had once been.

Val threw her catch up in the air, catching it with ease with darting orbs watching for any who shall challenge her for her catch. None in sight, the female lazily ate her meal with her back up against the brick wall, and her furred paws planted wistfully upon the sod ground that she had grown to memorize. The scent of other canine, dog such as she, was quickly whiffed into her nostrils, and the fae flared and retracted them to pick up more information from its source. It was a strong female, no mate or pups but plenty of members to go through. She had a muscled pelt and a hard-earned personality, which proved to be all the better for a dog with nothing else better to do. Her meal done and her boredom restored, Valvetine shook her head once before following the smell back to where it stood, speaking with another male.

The Alphess was larger than the Akita had suspected; with a sharp tongue and even sharper reflexes. She was badmouthing the new member who was also fighting back with his own words, and the femme decided that it might be best for them to finish their quarreling, before she stepped in. What the hell…maybe they would fight and give her something better to watch then drunken humans and the occasional stray dog starved to the bone and begging for even the smallest chunk of protein. Valve herself had put on much weight since she left the wood, her ribcage completely covered by a thickly coarse layer of under fur and silky soft uppers.

Yawning, she sat down on the wooded porch of an abandoned shack-like building, and waited for the rest of the chaos to die down before she would mention anything. Hopefully they would notice her before she had to.

He listened to her boredly. Just as he suspected, she had no idea how to control her temper or win over the hearts of people. He was suprised someone hadn't ripped her throat out already, with such a poor attitude. However, he was not one to judge by first impressions. Felix stuck his tongue out childishly at her, mocking her. The male had lost all regard for his own body. If she was to attempt to remove him, he would easily refuse. If she resorted to violence, he would fight. He didn't care for life very much anyways. He'd been wandering so long, and he'd still not found his child.

Sometimes he would think he'd found a trace, a clue to the dearest Felicis's whereabouts, and follow it to a dead end. This contant letdown had made his heart eternally ache. At times, it would hurt so awful he would give anything to end the suffering. But mostly, as of now, it was a dull ache that he could ignore for the moment. It was clear this she-dog thought she was all that, that she had taken every type of pain and could use her immunity to crush any in her path, including him.

But such would be a fools assumption. Felix had met the worst pain of all, one that never ended and could hurt at the simplest of reminded. Some have repaired their hearts, moved on from lost lovers. It was not his former beloved whom he brooded over. It was his daughter, whom he could not care for. He'd been so foolish, to take her to the streets where the School of Hardknocks would make or break her. Perhaps she was too soft, born of a house pet. He fretted every day he led to her demise by his selfish act. Really, Felix had a soul, and he wondered if it would burn in hell for his dumb act.

"I'll not be going anywhere. You see, I really like it here under this tree. I've not stepped onto your turf, and it's a free country. Since I'm techniquely not on your property, I can just sit here and you should have no problem with me."

He smiled sweetly. And then the arrival of someone else turbed his gaze. A new girl. Joy. She didn't appear to be familer with this aggresive female, and seemed to want to observe rather than join in all the fun. Ah well. That was her lose, eh? Felix had no bone to pick with her, so she could just sit there and display her pretty face while he made his stand and showed that he wasn't about to be dominated. Felix wasn't a ruler, but he wasn't an obeyer either. He was an outcast, if you would. Something that did not lie within the common range, that was different and apart. He chose not to get involved, and if he had too, he'd be his own army rather than join someone else. It would take some mighty impressive skills or some slick talking to convince him to become part of a group, restrained to a home. For if he had a home, how could he keep looking for Felicis? Unless, of course, staying somewhere had greater appeal.

Real mature, dumbass. She rolled her eyes, quickly becoming bored. Apparently this "dog" has too immature to even know Her damp nostrils flared as the scent of a new, unknown dog appeared. Glancing at the corner of her eye, she saw that it was an Akita, large and obviously used to the harsh street life, judging by the muscle and rough coat on her. However, Tilani was more focused on the ignorant collie before her. Fine, stay out here and rot for all I care. Save me the trouble. She snorted, deciding that she would no longer bother with this ass of a dog.
